Rick Danko (bass), Paul Griffin (piano) and Bobby Gregg (drums) played on "One Of Us Must Know" at the January session in New York.

Wayne Butler was the trombonist summoned to the Nashville studio in the small hours to play on "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35".

Nashville guitarist Mac Gayden's website www.macgayden.com states that he played on Blonde On Blonde, and he reportedly has a plaque from Columbia Records crediting him for performing on the album.  He apparently clearly recalls playing on "Rainy Day Women", "Memphis Blues Again" and one other track on which he played acoustic guitar.
